The departure is from the center of Gevrey-Chambertin.
Unique in Burgundy, the Lavaux valley has a steep rocky cirque, overlooked by the cliffs.
This wilderness depression is one of the most beautiful walks near Dijon.
We will start with a long climb in laces in the middle of beech trees. A dangerous ascent (and optional!) Is possible up to a cave. We will pass from the southern slope (Ubac), fresh and humid mountain with flourishing vegetation to the northern slope (Adret) that we will walk on dry soil and whose vegetation is close to that found in the Mediterranean scrubland, with boxwood and juniper . Here the drought conditions are particularly marked. This second part of the route is done on a stony and varied crest trail and offers magnificent panoramas. Sometimes you have to use your hands.
A belvedere, monolith, overlooks the valley. Vigilance, the access path evolves right on the edge of a cliff and is not secure.
We will then descend via the magnificent Chambertin vineyards to return to the starting point.
We provide (per person):
1/2 liter of water
1 cereal bar and 1 fruit
1 croissant on arrival
